My sister and I had a quick photoshoot the other day.  It was great- until we got too cold and tired of using the tripod and camera timer.  : )   I love my sister!

something new

I promise I haven't fallen off the face of the earth.  I think this might have been my longest break in blogging since I started!
It was a nice break, but I'm ready to post more.
I'm ready for spring, and I'm ready to get back to taking pictures. 

I haven't totally hibernated all this past month, recently I've had the opportunity to work with a local designer who makes custom hair accessories.  I've been wanting to try out some type of commercial work, just to see what it is like- and it's fun!  The lovely blue flower is a piece designed by Heather Finley, owner of Filigree and Flowers, and you can find this one and many others on her facebook page, or etsy page.  (Click the words to follow the link)

E. Family

It was a perfect evening for pictures yesterday, and I had so much fun meeting and photographing this family!  And get this- they even brought guitars to use in the photos.  I just wrote in my last post about how much I love it when my clients bring an instrument to the photoshoot  : )  And their kids were adorable.  The curly hair on the little guy, big brother wearing his cowboy hat and boots-  they just don't come much cuter than that!

What a fun evening with a beautiful family!
For awhile now, I have wanted to incorporate a quilt into one of my family sessions. Only, I didn't have a quilt to use. Literally about 20 minutes before I needed to be at the photo shoot today, I thought to stop and see if my grandma had a quilt that would work. When I asked if she had any, she said no. I checked the closet anyway, just in case. The one I found in there was perfect. It is so little used that she forgot she had it. Made my day. I get a little excited about good photo props.
This family was so relaxed, and the kids are so fun and sweet. I'm just going to warn you now, I picked out lots of photos for this post. : )

These guys are so much fun!  I love having repeat clients, and this family has added two members since I photographed them last year.  : )  

I was so excited when Jenn asked me to take a few pictures of her and Joseph's wedding rings.  I have way too much fun taking details shots!  : )
