Homemade Texture

I did some experimenting with texures today.  For those of you who are not photoshop lovers, a texture is a layer you can add over a photo to give it a different style.  It makes the photo look, well...textured. 
Anyway, I have some downloaded textures that I use in my photos occasionally, but today I decided to try making my own.  I used a few antique books as material for my textures.

Capturing bits of fall

 I am not ready for fall to be over!  I am clinging to these last few autumn days, and doing my best to capture them with my camera :)

oh what a beautiful morning!

Yesterday I watched this while I ate my breakfast:

It was so beautiful, I felt like God put it there just for me  :) 

And I realized that I wouldn't have gotten to see this without the daylight savings switch this past weekend, and I thought that maybe I did like it after all.  (I'm usually in class during the sunrise)
But then I drove home from Leo yesterday evening in total darkness.  There is just no winning here.
