Honey Bees

One of the big old cedar trees in out front yard was knocked down by a storm a few nights ago.  The wind was SO strong, it sent our big rocking chairs off the pier into the pond! Anyway, there was a giant bee hive inside that tree- its been there for years.   I always wanted to see what the inside looked like, but I'm sad to see the hive go.  The bees were so fun to watch- they would go zipping in and out of a hole in the trunk.  A local beekeeper was able to come and take some of the colony, and we get to enjoy some of the honey! :)
